My friend invited me to ARMANI sale in Tokyo recently.
We waited in a long queue for about an hour to enter the sales exhibition.
Everyone is trying their best to find out the nicest items.
It was hot and stifling!
I just walked around aimlessly.
There was no way even to check which sizes were still available…
I couldn’t find anything to buy.
Got Slap by a Woman
I gave up looking for good clothes, and moved to the next counter where they sell watches.
There was also a crowd around the counter.
I was waiting for my chance to come.
Just then a person in front of me left and went out of the line.
I thought I am tall enough to reach for a watch so I step forward.
The next moment,
Basshi !! (SLAP!)
A woman slapped my hand saying, “Hey! I’m taking a look.” in Mandarin Chinese.
Another woman came from nowhere saying, “Are you buying that ? Why don’t you let me take a look !” in Japanese with a Chinese accent
Oh my!
Unbelievable!
I lost my drive.
I think there were so many Chinese people.
Chinese Travelers to Japan
According to Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism,
the number of tourists from China reached 5,000,000 in 2015.
Why do Chinese people come to Japan?
Shopping for qualitied brands?
Japanese food ?
Onsen (Hot Spring) ?
Clean and Neatness ?
Hospitality ?
Business ?
Business Advantage in Asia
When I travel these days, especially in Asia,
people tend to be kind to me, and always want to communicate with me in easy Japanese.
What does this mean?
It means Asian like Japan.
It means Japanese have business advantage.
What make Asian people like Japanese?
We say everything begins and ends with bowing.
Bowing means having respect for the person.
I believe that having healthy respect for the other person is the most important thing.
